Woman Struck and Killed in DUI Crash on 210 Freeway

 
San Bernardino, CA (July 30, 2020) – On Tuesday, a Highland woman, who has yet to be identified, died in a DUI crash on the 210 Freeway. Later, police arrested Martin Santos in connection to the incident.
 
California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at about 11:53 PM on July 28. The victim was standing outside her parked Toyota Camry on the westbound 210 in the gore point of the Waterman Avenue.
 
At the same time, a 52-year-old Martin Santos, from Ontario, drove a Lexus SUV on the slow lane. He swerved to the right and struck the Camry and the woman.
 
CHP Officer Ivan Sandoval said a second crash happened when a Kia Sedona struck the woman and the Lexus.
 
Authorities pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, police arrested Mr. Santos on suspicion of murder and DUI.
