MODESTO, CA (November 17, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a woman died in a hit-and-run crash on Yosemite Boulevard near Alber Road.
 
The incident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. on Yosemite Boulevard near Alber Road.
 
Officers believed that a vehicle run her over while sleeping along Yosemite Boulevard.
 
When responders arrived, they found the woman’s body in a dirt lot just west of the Modesto Gospel Mission. Modesto police traffic Sgt. Dan Starr said, “It appears she was likely sleeping in the dirt lot and run over while she was sleeping.”
 
The authorities continued to investigate the case as a hit-and-run.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed any information about the woman.
