SOUTH TACOMA, WA (January 78, 2023) – Saturday, a woman died in a traffic signal pole crash on Washington Street and South 56th Street.
 
The incident happened when a driver crashed into a traffic signal pole. Reports confirmed that the driver headed west on South 56th Street. Then, he struck a pole at the intersection of Washington Street, two blocks from South Tacoma Way.
 
After the crash, the Tesla briefly caught fire. Meanwhile, authorities shut down the intersection during the investigation.
 
Moreover, officers confirmed that the driver sustained life-threatening injuries and required hospitalization.
 
However, his female passenger succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
