1 Dead in Salinas Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 68 and Laureles Grade

 
SALINAS, CA (August 8, 2022) – Sunday morning, a woman died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 68 and Laureles Grade.
 
The incident happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Highway 68, west of Laureles Grade.
 
According to reports, a Ford minivan driver traveled west when she intentionally rear-ended a Lexus and then a Ford transit van.
 
Then, the minivan driver lost control and drove across the eastbound lanes before ending up along trees down an embankment.
 
As a result, the minivan driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the drivers of the two other vehicles sustained minor injuries.
 
Moreover, authorities haven’t determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, they urged anyone who may have witnessed to contact the California Highway Patrol Monterey Area Office.
