1 Dead in Fontana Pedestrian Accident on Citrus Avenue near Harvey Drive

 
FONTANA, CA (January 31, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Citrus Avenue near Harvey Drive.
 
The incident happened at around 1:10 a.m. on Citrus Avenue near Harvey Drive.
 
According to reports, an unidentified pedestrian crossed the southbound lanes of Citrus Avenue from west to east.
 
However, a 21-year-old Fontana resident driving a white Toyota Solara hit the pedestrian, said Fontana Public Information Officer Jason Delair.
 
As a result, the authorities declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officers noted that they found the victim outside of a crosswalk and slightly north of Harvey.
 
Also, the incident shut down Citrus between Malaga and Barbee avenues for approximately six hours.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
