Woman Killed after Struck by Vehicle at Slauson Avenue and Sal Avenue [WHITTIER, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Slauson Avenue in Whittier

 
WHITTIER, CA (August 22, 2019) – A woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in Whittier, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Sal Avenue.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to the scene and located a female pedestrian lying on the roadway. The unidentified victim suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead.
 
A coroner’s personnel was immediately notified to conduct a full report.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene.
 
Officials closed both westbound lanes of 605 Freeway at Slauson Avenue while they investigated the crash.
