1 Hurt after Hands Get Trapped in a Food Processor in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, CA (May 27, 2020) – A woman sustained injuries in a workplace accident on Lincoln Avenue in Anaheim on May 19.

According to Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer, a Pupuseria Comalapa #2 employee was putting a product in a grinder when her right hand was caught in the machine at around 6:00 p.m. on 1781 W. Lincoln Avenue.

The coworkers instantly shut down the machine after discovering what just happened.

“They had to give her some medication when they got there because she was obviously in a lot of pain,” Carringer added.

The Anaheim Fire & Rescue unbolted a part of the processor so they could free her hand. Then, responders transported her to the UCI Medical Center. Moreover, the machine’s hopper was still wrapped around her forearm while she was being transported by an ambulance at around 6:32 p.m.

Fortunately, the police revealed that her injuries were minor.
