Las Vegas Woman Critical after a Suspected DUI Crash on Tropicana Avenue in Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (June 23, 2021)– Wednesday morning, a 33-year-old Las Vegas woman sustained severe injuries after a suspected DUI crash on Tropicana Avenue and Nellis Boulevard.
The crash on Tropicana Avenue happened at around 5:43 a.m. on June 23.
Las Vegas police said in a news release that the woman was driving a Hyundai Elantra westbound on Tropicana, approaching the intersection when her vehicle slammed into a GMC work truck that was stopped on Tropicana at a red light.
EMS then took the woman to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with a head injury described as life-threatening.
Investigators said impairment was suspected on the part of the driver of the Hyundai.
No other information is immediately available. Further investigation is ongoing.
