1 Hospitalized in Fontana Pedestrian Accident on Slover Avenue near Catawba Avenue
FONTANA, CA (September 1, 2021) – Monday morning, a woman sustained injuries after a pedestrian crash on Slover Avenue near Catawba Avenue.
According to Fontana Police Department, the incident happened at around 4:22 a.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 15700 block of Slover Avenue, between Catawba and Poplar avenues.
Reports revealed that a westbound red GMC Yukon struck a pedestrian. The incident happened as the pedestrian walked eastbound in the number 2 westbound traffic lane. Then, the driver of the GMC remained at the scene after the crash.
Furthermore, responders transported the female victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Also, the pedestrian suffered significant head trauma and injuries.
Moreover, the crash closed Slover Avenue between Catawba and Poplar for about three hours.
Also, officials do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
