Pedestrian Accident in Reno Sends Woman to Hospital
RENO, NV (October 28, 2019) — A driver struck and injured a woman in a pedestrian accident at West 5th and Vine streets in Reno.
According to Reno Police, the driver did not see the woman walking across the parking lot of Gold Dust West before hitting her.
The unidentified victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the 9 p.m. accident; however, police officers believe she might have suffered broken bones.
As a result of the crash, authorities issued an investigation at the scene, where the driver stayed and cooperated.
Thus far, alcohol has been ruled out as a possible factor, but more investigation continues.
When walking in parking lots, along neighborhoods or around school zones, be leery of your surroundings. Drivers should always look out for bicyclists and pedestrians nearby in case anyone may be crossing or traveling nearby. By practicing this, we’ll have a less likely chance of hitting someone when we’re more aware.
