ST LOUIS COUNTY, MO (February 2, 2025) – Friday night, a startling car crash on Interstate 55 near Bayless Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. in the exit lane of southbound I-55 near Bayless Avenue.

A 55-year-old woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in south St. Louis County, according to reports.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the woman was standing in the exit lane when a 2007 gray BMW approached. The driver, a 30-year-old man from Affton, attempted to avoid her but struck her with the front right fender.
