Pedestrian Cited for Jaywalking after Crash on East 2nd Street
RENO, NV (November 11, 2019) – A woman suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on East 2nd Street, Monday evening.
According to the Reno Police Department, the incident happened shortly before 8:00 PM. A pedestrian attempted to cross the street outside of a crosswalk. Then, a vehicle struck her near Golden Lane.
Emergency responders rendered aid to the woman, who received minor injuries on her face and arms. They later transported her to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Reno Police ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in this collision. In addition, the woman will be cited for jaywalking. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
