Pedestrian Accident Reported in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (May 6, 2019) – A woman suffered serious injuries Friday afternoon following a pedestrian accident on Highway 67 near the 8 Freeway.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Strickland, the incident happened around 12:10 p.m.
 
Strickland stated that the woman walked into traffic right before a Chevrolet Cruze struck her. As a result of the crash, crews closed off one lane of traffic.
 
By 1:10 p.m., they reopened all lanes of traffic.
 
The factors leading to the collision are under investigation by authorities. Yet witnesses are encouraged to contact officers if they have any insight.
