Injuries and Damage Reported in Morning 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50 in West Sacramento
WEST SACRAMENTO, CA (June 26, 2019) – A woman was injured following a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Highway 50.
The crash happened around 9:25 a.m., along the westbound lanes of Highway 50. Dispatchers arrived near the Jefferson Boulevard off-ramp.
According to an initial report, at least three vehicles, including a Chevrolet Corolado and a black 4-door car were involved. Officers located the Chevy and the black vehicle with major front-end damage upon arrival.
A female occupant in one of the cars was reportedly bleeding as a result of the crash. Paramedics were immediately dispatched to give aid to the patient. However there has been no update on her current condition.
Towing services were also requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the crash site, due to the extent of damage.
All westbound lanes of Highway 50, just West of Jefferson Boulevard were blocked during the rescue and clearing operations. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Due to several factors remained unclear, the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
