70-Year-Old Woman Critically Injured After Being Struck

 
BENICIA, CA ( January 5, 2019) – Saturday night, a woman was struck and injured in a hit-and-run accident on 5th Street. The victim was only identified to be a 70-year-old woman.
 
Spokeswoman Irma Widjojo from the Benicia Police Department stated the accident was reported at 6:15 PM.
 
Officials responded to the call of an elderly woman lying on the side of the road in the 1000 block of East 5th Street. Many details surrounding this accident have not been released at this time.
 
The victim sustained life threatening injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. As of now, her medical status has not been released.
