Bicyclist Struck and Injured by SUV in Loleta Crash

 
LOLETA, CA (April 25, 2019) – A bicyclist was hurt after a bicycle accident on Highway 101 near Loleta on Tuesday, April 23.
 
California Highway Patrol said that the collision occurred at about 4:40 p.m. when a Toyota Sienna Van struck a woman on a bike crossing the highway from the shoulder.
 
The female victim suffered minor injuries. Paramedics transported her by an ambulance to a trauma center.
 
Southbound traffic on Highway 101 near Fernbridge was slow going after the incident.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
