Jogger Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Lilac Street

 
HESPERIA, CA (October 1, 2018) – A jogger was hospitalized after a pedestrian crash on Cottonwood Avenue, mid Monday afternoon. The victim was only identified as a 48-year-old woman, her name and place of residence were not disclosed.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:40 PM, near Lilac Street. Officials with the Sheriff’s Office stated that a blue Toyota Rav4 was making a right turn onto Cottonwood when it hit the woman who was jogging on the east side of the road.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, the woman suffered multiple abrasions on the left side of her body. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation, but there is no update on her current medical condition.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities during their investigation. No additional information about the incident was immediately released to the public, as CHP officials continue to investigate.
