Vehicle Collision on Skokomish Road Results in Injuries
Mason County, WA (April 17, 2023) – At about noon on Friday, a 54-year-old male driver from Shelton and his 32-year-old female passenger who is also from Shelton were injured in a Highway 101 head-on collision.
Officers said the Shelton residents were northbound on the freeway at Skokomish Road, while two Alaska residents in their 20s were southbound on the same highway.
The Shelton man failed to yield the right of way and turned left in front of the other vehicle. As a result, the two vehicles then crashed head-on.
Moreover, the Shelton man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center and the female passenger was transported to Mason General Hospital.
The two people from Alaska were injured in the accident.
Officers are investigating the vehicle collision on Skokomish Road.
