Injuries Reported in Point Loma Accident on Coronado Avenue and Catalina Boulevard

 
POINT LOMA, CA (February 20, 2023) – Sunday morning, a woman required hospitalization after a two-vehicle crash on Coronado Avenue and Catalina Boulevard.
 
The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on Coronado Avenue and Catalina Boulevard.
 
According to reports, two women occupying a Honda sedan headed east on Coronado Avenue. Then, they failed to yield at a stop sign at Catalina Boulevard. Then, they struck a northbound Subaru.
 
As a result, the two women got trapped in the vehicle. Rescue crews responded to free them. After 15 to 20 minutes, responders successfully rescued and pulled out the trapped women, San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief John Fisher said.
 
Meanwhile, a woman in the Subaru complained of chest pain. Thus, medics transported her to a hospital.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
