Female Pedestrian Killed in Mission Road Traffic Accident
San Marcos, CA (March 14, 2022) On Friday evening, a female pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV on Barham Drive.
According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Office (SDSO), the fatal accident happened at about 8:20 p.m. at Mission Road, west of Nordahl Road.
Moreover, reports say that the victim suffered head and body injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Additionally, authorities say that the victim may have stepped off a curb into the path of the oncoming vehicle.
Furthermore, deputies say that impairment or speed did not play a factor in the crash.
Officials are investigating the incident and have not released further information at this time.
