Female Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Train near Golden State Boulevard
TURLOCK, CA (September 29, 2018) – A woman was fatally injured in a train accident near Fulkerth Road, early Saturday evening. The deceased victim’s name, age, and place of residence were not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:30 PM, near Golden State Boulevard. Turlock Police officials arrived at the scene and discovered the victim’s body under the train.
Traffic was blocked off across several streets as law enforcement officers investigated. It is unclear why the woman was on the train tracks at the time of the incident. No further information on the events leading up to the fatal collision was disclosed, as the investigation continues.
