DUI Suspect Hospitalized in Crash on Interstate 15

 
Escondido, CA (November 26, 2020) – On Wednesday, a suspected DUI driver incurred major injuries in a crash on Interstate 15.
 
Dispatchers received reports of a crash at around 12:50 a.m. about a woman in a 2018 Honda Civic sedan driving southbound in the northbound lanes near Via Rancho Parkway.
 
Just minutes later, the sedan crashed into a zipper barrier machine. The woman was ejected from the vehicle.
 
Rescuers took the unidentified victim to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
There are no updates on her status as of the moment.
 
Authorities believe intoxication was a factor in the crash.
