Woman Killed, Another Injured in Car Accident on Brokaw Road and Zanker Road

 
San Jose, CA (November 12, 2020) – On Tuesday, a woman died in a deadly vehicle crash on Brokaw Road and Zanker Road.
 
The fatal incident took was reported at about 3:43 a.m. between Highway 101 and Interstate 880.
 
Initial investigation said a woman in a gray 2009 Lexus RX 350 SUV was driving south on Zanker Road when she crossed into Brokaw Road against a red light.
 
Then, she struck a red 2009 Lexus SC 430 coupe traveling west.
 
As a result, the SUV driver was thrown from her vehicle due to the impact. Authorities pronounced her dead at the scene.
 
On the other hand, the rescuers took the coupe driver to the hospital for undisclosed injuries, and they are expected to survive.
 
Authorities withheld the deceased’s identification pending notification of her next of kin.
 
Moreover, the incident marks the city’s 42nd traffic death of the year, compared to 44 at the same point in 2019.
