Woman Dies in DUI-Related Accident in Hyde Park

 
HYDE PARK, CA (June 5, 2019) – An unidentified woman was killed Tuesday in a DUI crash on Crenshaw Boulevard near West 50th Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Dispatchers arrived near West 50th Street shortly after.
 
The victim was reportedly sitting in her car waiting for a friend when a vehicle traveling down Crenshaw Boulevard slammed into her car. The parked car spun out before landing on a sidewalk, killing the woman inside.
 
Meanwhile, the DUI suspect’s car plowed into a second vehicle and knocked down a utility pole.
 
The suspected DUI driver was transported to a nearby hospital and arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter. Officials did not release any information concerning the fatal victim’s identity.
