1 Killed and 1 Detained after DUI Auto Collision near Olive Street in Los Angeles

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 21, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, a woman was arrested after a fatal car accident on Century Boulevard.
 
The California Highway Patrol revealed that the crash occurred around 3:45 a.m., on Century Boulevard and Olive Street. First responders arrived shortly after.
 
According to reports, a woman in her 30’s was driving north on Olive Street when she failed to yield at a stop sign and consequently struck two vehicles as a result.
 
The impact pushed one of the vehicles off the road before striking a nearby light pole. A female occupant was then thrown out of the vehicle.
 
Shortly after, the female occupant succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.
 
Meanwhile, medics transported the female driver who caused the crash to the hospital to receive further treatment of minor injuries. Later, she was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI.
 
The surrounding area was blocked off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
 
At this time, authorities are still conducting an investigation.
