Laguna Beach, CA (February 5, 2023) – Sunday evening, 32-year-old Willen Mari Alvarez died in a crash along Coast Highway.
The fatal crash in Laguna Beach happened around 6 p.m. on February 5, south of Nyes Place.
Laguna Beach Police said the woman was crossing the road when she was struck several times by oncoming traffic in southbound lanes.
She was not in a crosswalk when she was struck. EMS took Alvarez to a hospital where she later died.
The drivers involved in the crash stayed at the scene and drugs or alcohol were not believed to have been involved.
Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
