Aaron Flores Arrested after DUI Crash into Home on Fireside Drive

 
WHITTIER, CA (May 4, 2018) – A total of five people sustained injuries when a car crashed into a home on Lambert Road, sending the car’s engine and one of its tires into the house.
 
Authorities were alerted about the crash shortly before 1:30 AM in the area of Lambert Road and Fireside Drive. The gray Ford Focus, driven by 21-year-old Aaron Flores of La Habra, hit a wall and struck down an electrical pole and a traffic signal.
 
From the impact, the vehicle overturned on its side, and one of its tires flew into a bedroom where children and adults were sleeping. The homeowner, Carol Jaramillo, stated that her adult daughter and her three chilren (ages 12, 16, and 18) were in the room at the time of the collision.
 
Flores suffered moderate lacerations to his head, arms, and legs. He and one of the adult residents were rushed to a hospital for treatment. A video footage of the scene showed the driver of the overturned vehicle being wheeled into an ambulance. He was seated upright and appeared to be fine.
 
Flores was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the California Highway Patrol
