Bicycle Crash on Santa Fe Street and K Road Kills Wesley Wentker, Joreill Cabral Arrested

 
Visalia, CA (July 16, 2020) – On Tuesday, bicyclist Wesley Wentker died after being hit by a vehicle on Santa Fe Street and K Road.
 
The fatal bicycle crash occurred at around 6:20 p.m in southeast Visalia.
 
The 63-year-old victim was riding his bicycle on the roadway when a GMC Yukon driven by Joreill Cabral hit him.
 
As a result, he sustained critical injuries in the crash. Rescuers rushed him to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where he died while being treated.
 
Furthermore, police arrested Cabral on suspicion of DUI.
 
Authorities temporarily closed Santa Fe Avenue between K Avenue and Walnut Avenue as they investigate the crash.
