42-Year-Old Lake Arrowhead Man Dies after 2-Vehicle Collision near Sayle Road, Benjamin Christensen Injured
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA (October 10, 2018) – A man was killed early Wednesday evening following a two-vehicle crash. The deceased victim was later identified as 42-year-old Wesley Ian McFaul, a resident of Lake Arrowhead.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 5:15 PM near Sayle Road. A 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, driven by the victim, was heading east on Highway 138 when it veered left onto the westbound lane.
There, it collided with a Toyota Tacoma head-on.
McFaul suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota, identified as 42-year-old Benjamin Christensen of Wrightwood, was transported to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Updates on his current medical condition were not immediately available.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors.
