Vladimir Pineda-Gomez Dead in Hercules Accident on Highway 80 and SR 4

HERCULES, CA (October 3, 2021) – Early Sunday, a deadly crash on Interstate Highway 80 and State Route 4 left Vladimir Pineda-Gomez, 28, dead.

The officers came to the scene at around 1:25 a.m. Moreover, the multi-vehicle crash occurred on southbound Interstate Highway 80, north from State Route 4.

When the authorities arrived, they located several vehicles. Two of them remained rolled over and the crash blocked all lanes.

However, by 1:42 a.m., the roads reopened. Apparently, a Honda Accord driven by Mr. Pineda-Gomez, of Richmond, rear-ended a Toyota Yaris carrying two occupants. Shortly after, a Lexus RX350 struck the disabled Toyota.

Upon arrival, paramedics conducted life-saving measures; however, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Moreover, the extent of injuries of the other parties involved is unknown.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the accident.
