Violent Wrong-Way Crash on Interstate 705 Injures 2 Motorcyclist [Tacoma, WA]

Tacoma, WA (August 11, 2024) On Saturday morning, 2 motorcycle riders were hurt after a violent wrong-way crash on Interstate 705

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the multi-vehicle collision happened around 1 a.m. on Interstate 705 at Schuster Parkway.

Report say that a car, driven by a 16-year-old, struck 2 motorcyclist. Bth riders were northbound on I-705 in one of the lanes, while the teen was driving south in both northbound lanes of Interstate 705.

Rescuers transported both riders to Tacoma General Hospital, officials say that both riders are from Olympia, one is 23 years old and the other is 44.

Meanwhile, the 16-year-old escaped injuries and was arrested and booked into Remann Hall under suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular assault.
