Violent Traffic Collision on Union Boulevard Kills 1 [St. Louis, MO]

St. Louis, MO (April 14, 2025) – A female driver was killed Sunday evening after a horrific traffic collision on Union Boulevard.

According to St. Louis police, the tragic collision happened around 8:30 p.m. near Natural Bridge Avenue and Union Boulevard.

Reports say that a group carjacked a woman at gunpoint Sunday night in the 700 block of Belt Avenue in St. Louis, stealing her black Nissan Altima.

Around 8:30 p.m., police tracked the stolen vehicle using surveillance and spotted it driving dangerously near Natural Bridge Avenue and Goodfellow Boulevard.

An officer attempted to stop the Nissan near Natural Bridge and Belt avenues, but the vehicle fled at high speed. Moments later, the Nissan crashed into a red Hyundai Sonata near Natural Bridge Avenue and Union Boulevard, killing the woman driving the Hyundai.

Police took five suspects—two adults, aged 22 and 20, and three juveniles, aged 16 and 15—into custody. Paramedics transported them to hospitals for minor injuries. Officers recovered two real firearms and one imitation weapon inside the vehicle, including one gun found with the 16-year-old passenger.

St. Louis police’s Force Investigative Unit, Accident Reconstruction Team, and Sixth District detectives are continuing the investigation.
