Jefferson City, MO (November 29, 2024) On Thursday afternoon, injuries were reported after a horrendous 3-car crash on Highway 50/63.
According to the Jefferson City Police Department (JCPD), the wrong-way crash happened at on Highway 50/63.
Reports say that the three-vehicle collision injured five people and caused a temporary road closure on Thursday afternoon.
Authorities say that the incident occurred when a 2014 BMW 320I, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes, collided with a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox and a 2018 Ford Edge near the Lafayette Street ramps.
Emergency responders transported two drivers and one passenger to nearby hospitals, while two other individuals were treated and released at the scene.
Authorities closed Highway 50/63 for approximately two hours to clear the wreckage. RAVE alerts were issued to notify the public of the closure at 2:16 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
