Robert James Crain Pleaded Not Guilty Following Car Crash on Hook Creek Road

 
San Bernardino Mountains, CA (July 4, 2020)– A dashboard cam caught Robert James Crain in vehicle hitting 2 men on Sunday afternoon.
 
Robert James Crain, 37, from Hemet, has pleaded not guilty to counts of attempted murder and to other charges against him.
 
The videotaped incident occurred on June 28 at about 1 p.m. at the 30000 block of Hook Creek Road. A father and a son appeared to be working near an electronic message sign located on the road. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Crain and the victims had an argument over an unclear issue.
 
The video was from a dashboard of an oncoming vehicle showing a white van driven by Crain. The white van was hitting the red vehicle several times while the two men watched. The red vehicle tried to flee as the van followed however, the van suddenly veered and struck the two men.
 
The Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the white van was Crain’s and it followed the red vehicle as the witnesses called 911.
 
The two men were hospitalized as a result of the incident but according to the GoFundMe page made for them, the two survived.

Crain’s Arrest

 
Crain was arrested shortly after the incident and he is being held in lieu of $2,075,000 bail. Furthermore, he pleaded not guilty to the charges against him about the incident.
 
In addition, the San Bernardino County Superior Court records showed that he also pleaded not guilty to two counts of willful child cruelty and one count of assault with a deadly weapon.
