Pedestrian Accident on Twentynine Palms Highway Killed 33-Year-Old Victorville Man

 
Twentynine Palms, CA (August 28, 2020) – On Saturday, a Victorville man trying to get for his car was struck and killed 2003 Ford F-150 pickup in the westbound lane on Twentynine Palms Highway.
 
The fatal incident happened at about 8:50 p.m. on August 22, 30 miles east of Twentynine Palms.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the 20-year-old Jessy Krohn of Kingman, Arizona, drove west on the highway. When at the same time, a pedestrian was standing on the highway trying to flag down some help for his vehicle was struck in the sand.
 
The area was pitch black and in a curve in the roadway. Investigators said Krohn did not see the man until the last moment. He tried but was not able to avoid the pedestrian, who was struck by the truck and thrown into the eastbound lanes.
 
Meanwhile, the paramedics pronounced the 33-year-old victim dead on the scene.

Moreover, CHP authorities remind pedestrians to use crosswalks when available. Do not stand or walk in roadways especially when they are poorly-lit or have blind hills and curves.
