Fairfield Woman Dies after Struck by Car on Highway 12 at Marina Boulevard
SUISUN CITY, CA (December 1, 2019) – A woman identified as Victoria Morfidis-Florentino died in a pedestrian crash on a rainy Sunday evening in Suisun City.
The crash happened around 7:28 p.m., on Highway 12 at Marina Boulevard. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
According to the CHP, the female pedestrian was walking along the crosswalk when a speeding vehicle struck her. Responding firefighters found the woman pinned underneath the vehicle with major injuries.
Paramedics performed CPR and transported the female victim to a local hospital for further treatment. However, despite life-saving efforts, the woman died in the emergency room.
The Solano County Coroner’s Office later identified the victim as Victoria Morfidis-Florentino, 50, of Fairfield.
Due to the collision, crews worked on cleaning the scene for a brief time before the roadway was reopened. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with police. Further investigation of this crash is underway.
