1 Injured in Byron Car Accident on Byron Highway

 
BYRON, CA (July 3, 2019) – A person suffered injuries in a car accident on Byron Highway on July 2.
 
The authorities received reports of a SUV crash on Byron Highway at Clifton Court Road about 5:40 p.m. Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a white older-model Chevy Suburban in a ditch. In addition, police located a black Honda nearby.
 
The collision blocked the roadway to all traffic just before 6:00 p.m. As a result, the authorities issued a Sig-Alert at 6:53 p.m. The alert lifted just before 7:20 p.m.
 
Paramedics and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters came to the scene. In addition, police requested an air ambulance “due to the remote area and involved parties’ injuries.”
 
The CHP’s Golden Gate Division air-operations helicopter airlifted one person to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. In addition, police stated the victim sustained serious injuries. However, police did not give any kind of medical update on the victim.
 
CHP-Contra Costa is currently investigating the collision. In addition, police will update the story as soon as possible.
