Man Dead in Fontana Pedestrian Accident on Arrow Boulevard

 
FONTANA, CA (June 26, 2019) – A man died after a vehicle the pedestrian on Arrow Boulevard at Palmetto Avenue on June 25.
 
The 35-year-old pedestrian from Fontana walked north across Arrow Boulevard, outside of a marked crosswalk. Unfortunately, a westbound Saturn Ion struck him on Arrow near Palmetto Avenue at 12:42 a.m.
 
Responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital. However, police stated that the victim died at the hospital an unknown amount of time after the accident.
 
As a result, Arrow Boulevard shut down for around three hours while Fontana P.D.’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) conduct an investigation.
 
Police did not release any other information regarding the accident at this time. They will announce the victim’s name as soon as the family is notified of the accident. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to call the Fontana P.D. Hotline at (909) 356-8477
