U.S 60 Eastbound Closes after Deadly Crash
Apache Junction, AZ (May 8, 2021) – A vehicle struck and left a man lying on the road dead in a pedestrian crash on U.S 60 on Saturday.
The fatal incident took place on May 7 when a vehicle hit a man on U.S 60 Freeway. According to the report, the man was lying on the left lane of the freeway at Meridian. Due to the lack of details, the reason as to why the man was lying on the road is still unclear.
The victim’s identification is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin.
Furthermore, the eastbound portion of the freeway was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
As of writing, there has been no further information available. Once available, it will be released to the public.
