CHP Investigates 2-Vehicle Collision on I-8
El Cajon, CA (April 28, 2023) On Thursday morning, a vehicle crash on Interstate 8 sent a Caltrans worker to the hospital.
CHP says that the 2-vehicle collision happened at about 10:25 a.m. on the westbound lane of Interstate 8 in El Cajon.
Reports say that a Chevy pickup struck a parked Caltrans vehicle, and the impact of the collision pushed the parked vehicle towards a Caltrans worker working outside the vehicle.
The Caltrans worker suffered moderate to major injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Chevy driver sustained minor injuries but refused transport and stated he will seek medical aid himself. Officials released the driver at the scene.
