Violent Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 270 Kills Beverly Gearhiser [Pullman, WA]

Pullman, WA (December 5, 2024) On Tuesday afternoon, 94-year-old Beverly Gearhiser was killed after a violent multi-vehicle crash on Highway 270.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the deadly crash happened at about 3 p.m. near Garrison Road.

Reports say that the car crash east of Pullman claimed the life of the 94-year-old woman on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say that Gearhiser attempted to turn from Garrison Road onto westbound Highway 270. Her vehicle collided with an eastbound car on the highway.

Gearhiser was pronounced dead at the scene. However, her passenger and the driver of the other vehicle survived the crash.

WSP reported that the crash resulted from “failure to yield,” and they do not suspect alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident.
