Fiery Crash Reported on Gopher Canyon Road

 
VISTA, CA (July 29, 2019) – A vehicle caught fire in a crash in the 3302 block of Gopher Canyon Road, Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:37 AM. Based on an initial report, fire officials found the 35-foot box truck overturned and fully engulfed in the roadway. In addition, the truck blocked both lanes.
 
The paramedics arrived for needed medical attention. However, they had not yet released a report regarding any injuries sustained injuries.
 
The road closed while firefighters put off the fire. In addition, a rescue and clearing operation took place in the area at the same time.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident to help identify the possible contributing factors. However, police did not release additional information at this time.
