Drivers Hospitalized after Head-on Crash in Imperial Avenue 47th Street

 
San Diego, CA (May 11, 2020)– Monday night, two unidentified drivers sustained severe injuries in head-on crash in Imperial Avenue 47th Street.
 
San Diego Police responded upon receiving crash reports at around 9:15 p.m. on May 11. Dispatched officers arrived and located two sprawled vehicles on the scene.
 
Reportedly, a 45-year-old man, driving a 1993 Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on the eastbound side of Imperial Avenue. He then veered into the eastbound lane and crashed head-on into a 1999 Toyota Rav4 SUV driven by a 19-year-old girl.
 
As a result, the girl suffered from fractured pelvis and forearm, and the man sustained a concussion and a broken forearm. Furthermore, the Police confirmed that Alcohol and drugs are not a factor in the crash. This accident remains under active investigation.
