2 Drivers Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash near Twitchell Dam Road

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (December 17, 2018) – Two people and a dog were hospitalized Monday morning following a four-vehicle collision on Highway 166. The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed to the public.
 
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the incident happened at about 6:40 AM. For unknown reasons, four vehicles collided near Twitchell Dam Road.
 
Two drivers suffered minor to moderate injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided. A dog also suffered injuries and was taken to a veterinary hospital.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
