Driver Arrested in Jefferson Street Traffic Collision
Phoenix, AZ (July 04, 2022) – On Saturday, two people sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 15th Avenue.
According to the investigators, officers were in the intersection of 24th Street and McDowell Road when they saw a vehicle with a passenger that had a felony warrant.
The authorities attempted a to stop the vehicle but the driver continue driving. The authorities did not chase the vehicle but called in an air unit to follow.
Minutes later, the vehicle stopped and the passenger ran into a neighborhood. Officers say they have not found the passenger as of yet.
Afterward, the driver continued driving with the vehicle’s lights off. The vehicle eventually crashed into another vehicle near the 15th Avenue and Jefferson Street intersection.
Immediately, the driver ran away from the crash scene but the officer later found and arrested the suspect.
