Man and Woman Hospitalized after Scooter Crashes into Trolley near Commercial Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 23, 2018) – Two people were injured Tuesday evening following an electric scooter crash near 24th Street. The identities of the victims were not disclosed to the public.
According to officials with the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place at about 6:30 PM at Commercial Street. A man and a woman were riding double on an electric scooter when they slammed into the back of a three-car trolley.
The man was transported to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest with major but non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the woman was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
