Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Deadly Pedestrian Collision near Via Cerro

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 25, 2018) – Two pedestrians were killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Market Street. The victim’s names were not yet released by the authorities.
 
A report from the California Highway Patrol said that the collision happened shortly before 8:30 PM in the 1800 block of Market Street, near Via Cerro.
 
According to officials, three people walking in the street when an unidentified vehicle struck them. The Riverside County Fire Department said that unidentified adult male and female were pronounced dead at the scene, while a juvenile was taken to the hospital for treatment. Information on his condition is currently unavailable. There is no description of the hit-and-run driver, or the vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
 
Sheriff’s officials are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect and find the car. Anyone with additional information can contact authorities by calling (951) 776-1099. No other information has been disclosed.
