Goleta, CA (July 16, 2021) – On Thursday, two people died while others were injured in Highway 101 multi-vehicle crash.

The six-car crash took place at around 7:58 a.m. on the freeway’s southbound lanes near El Capitan Ranch Road.

Investigating officers said that the Ford Expedition driver driving northbound crossed the center divide and went into southbound traffic.

As a result, two people in the said vehicle died and three were rushed to the hospital with major injuries.
