Two Killed in Fiery Rollover Crash on Lime Creek Road near Highway 12 [VALLEY SPRINGS, CA]

Vehicle Hits Power Pole, Overturns and Catches Fire in Valley Springs Leaving 2 People Dead

 
VALLEY SPRINGS, CA (October 8, 2019) – Two people died following a fiery rollover crash Tuesday afternoon in Valley Springs.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:15 p.m. on Lime Creek Road near Highway 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle carrying two people struck a power pole. The pole fell to the ground and started a small fire. The vehicle landed on its side and burst into flames.
 
As a result, the two occupants inside the vehicle both died at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available.
 
Lime Creek Road was closed for an extended period after the crash.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
