Two Killed in Broadside Crash on Highway 99 at Catlett Road [PLEASANT GROVE, CA]

Driver and Passenger Dead in Early Morning Crash on Highway 99 in Pleasant Grove

 
PLEASANT GROVE, CA (August 23, 2019) – Two people were killed following a broadside crash early Friday morning in Pleasant Grove.
 
The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on northbound Highway 99 at Catlett Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Malibu was attempting to cross or turn onto Highway 99 when it was broadsided by a Ford F250.
 
As a result, both the driver and passenger in the Chevrolet died at the scene. Their identities were not immediately available.
 
Paramedics transported the Ford driver to a hospital with moderate injuries.
 
Officers closed all lanes of Highway 99 at Catlett Road until around 7:00 a.m. Drivers were advised to expect residual traffic delays through the morning.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
